VBS Mission Project: The VBS mission project this year is to fill as many bags with items from the "Give a Meal a Month" June menu as possible. We'd love for church members to help us the week of VBS. The food collected in the Give a Meal project each month is given to the Denton Community Food Center for our Denton neighbors in need.
June is Basic Needs Month and includes the following staples: Macaroni & Cheese Dried Beans Canned Fruits & Vegetables Coffee Tuna Rice Spaghetti & Sauce Cereal Peanut Butter Canned Soups Canned Tomatoes Dry Milk
Mission Quest 2010 Wednesdays in July, 9:00am-Noon The theme for Mission Quest this year centers around hunger and the many ways we can help others by helping them have enough to eat each day. Mission Quest is for children who are in the elementary grades and they will consider hunger in all its many guises through mission projects each Wednesday morning in July. The Diaconate The diaconate's Congregational Nurture committee helps care for the members of our congregation in a variety of ways. They take Cradle Crosses to families with newborns, organize church picnics, host the annual Christmas Dinner, and help us all feel like we belong at St. Andrew.
Stephen Ministry St. Andrew is an active Stephen Ministry congregation. The Stephen Leaders' mission is to "affirm our congregational values by nurturing, edifying, educating, and equipping the members of St. Andrew who are called...to serve as Christian caregivers to our church and community."
