Join this lively group of readers and conversation partners as we gather on six Wednesdays during Lent to discuss Bread and Wine: Readings for Lent and Easter. Lent is a season for soul searching, self-denial and spiritual preparation so it is a fitting season for daily reading and reflection. Bread and Wine contains a wide spectrum of essays from classic and contemporary Christian writers such as Kathleen Norris, Oswald Chambers, Thomas Merton, Barbara Brown Taylor and more. Henri Nouwen writes in one of the essays in the book, "I discover that it is because of my brothers and sisters who walk with me that I can make the journey at all."
