Families
We value children and their families at St. Andrew and we actively seek to involve them in the life of the church. We offer a variety of age-appropriate and well-thought out children's programs and events under the leadership of our Children's Ministry committee.

Sunday services and programs

Wednesday night activities:

  • meal at 5:30 in Fellowship Hall
  • program and choirs for children
  • programs and choirs for adults
  • middle school element meets
  • Super Wednesday CREW meets

Special events and ongoing activities for families and children:

  • Parents' Night Out: Held the second Saturday night of the month in the Rec Center from 4:00-9:00pm, for children ages three through older elementary ages. The 2011 schedule is listed below.

  • Advent Adventure is an intergenerational Sunday evening in Fellowship Hall we offer early in the season of Advent each year.
  • Annual Christmas Pageant and Dinner is usually held on the second Sunday in December each year. The elementary aged children of St. Andrew put on the pageant and then we host the boys from the Goodland Academy in Hugo, OK, at our Chrismas Dinner in Fellowship Hall.
  • Family Movie Night, held in Fellowship Hall each July, is a big-screen event for families with preschool and elementary aged children.
  • Annual church picnic and periodic parish lunches: Check the calendar for specific dates and times.

Nursery

We provide a nursery for toddlers and infants for all of our morning worship services, other programs, and events. The nursery is located in the education wing, which is found to the right of Fellowship Hall. Pagers are available for you to take with you into worship in case the nursery staff needs you during the service.

The Children's Place at St. Andrew

St. Andrew is home to The Children’s Place, our half-day preschool program, which follows the schedule of the Denton I.S.D. We provide a loving Christian environment for children ages 12 months through kindergarten, with age-appropriate activities to fit each child's developmental needs.
