Session Meeting Highlights
At its June 29th meeting the Session:
  • Heard that the Building and Grounds Committee had some unanticipated expenses when the church bus broke down in Colorado. It was necessary to pay airline expenses to fly two sponsors and six students home, plus pay for bus repairs. The Ford Regional Manager is helping with some of the expenses incurred. The Ruth Anderson Fund will pay the balance.
  • Adopted a policy recommended by the Building and Grounds Committee to ban open carry of guns in any building on the St. Andrew campus. Appropriate signage to this effect will be posted.
  • Learned that Vacation Bible School has a good enrollment including many children who were visitors.
  • Heard from the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) that they have identified a candidate to whom they would like to issue a call, pending congregational approval. The PNC recommended that the Session call a meeting of the congregation on July 24, 2016 for the purpose of calling a pastor. The recommendation was approved. The candidate, if approved, is available to begin in the position on October 1, 2016.
Thank You!
Thank you to the Saint Andrew community for your prayers, love, assurance, and help to Grant during his long illness with Parkinson's Disease.  It meant a lot to Grant as well as us.
After Grant's death, we felt your Christian love, hope and peace with your faithful gifts of prayer, food, and words.

Our sincerest and most heartfelt gratitude.
Arminta Jacobson and Family

The family of Tonya Goodnow is deeply appreciative of the many kindnesses given to her by members and staff of Saint Andrew prior to her passing.  She was very much moved by the outpourings of kindness given by those who visited her in her room at Good Samaritan as well as by those who sent cards, flowers and plants to cheer her up during her final days on earth.  The family is also grateful for all of those who participated in and attended Tonya's memorial service as well as for the many cards and personal expressions of sympathy after her passing.  The fullness of love in the Saint Andrew congregation will always give our family comfort in our sorrow as well as inspired confidence in our faith in eternal life through Jesus Christ.
