Breakfast Is Served Sunday,
July 11
Fellowship Hall, 8:45-9:45
Join us in Fellowship Hall next Sunday,
July 11th, when the men of the session will be preparing a full
breakfast for all of us. Included on the menu are scrambled eggs, sausage,
biscuits and gravy, as well as truly awesome pancakes flipped by Larry Monroe.
Remember that the breakfast will take the place of Sunday school on July 11th. July 11th is also Sneaker Day, when the Community
Outreach committee is asking us to wear our sneakers to church (think casual
dress, not suit 'n tie). They'd like us to
bring a new pair of shoes for the Apple Tree project, which serves school
children ranging from kindergarteners to seniors in high school. See you the morning of July 1lth! |
Our Newest Members
Jean and Don McMahill joined our congregation Sunday, June 27, 2010.
Welcome to St. Andrew! |
Youth in July
Our high school youth, with Brandon Lewis
and the adult sponsors, leave DFW tomorrow, July 3, for the Mission Trip to Red Lake Reservation in
Minnesota.
They will be in Minneapolis
on Sunday, July 4, when they will attend the opening worship service for
General Assembly. The group will be returning the following Saturday, July 10.
Please keep them in your prayers as they travel and serve. It's NOT Too Late! You still have time
to sign up for the annual high school youth (completed 8th grade
through high school) backpacking trip to Colorado
July 23-30, 2010. Let Brandon Lewis, brandon@saint-andrew.com,
know ASAP if your teen wants to take on this high country challenge. |
Kim Warner to Report on General Assembly
Kim will present a report about the events and decisions of the 219th General Assembly on: Sunday, July 18, 9:00am, Fellowship Hall.

Ways to Make a
Difference
Host Families Needed for CAM Interns - Please get in touch with Leslie
Kregel if you can host two or more CAM interns
the evenings of July 18, 19, and 20. They will also need transportation to and
from the church each day; the interns will depart from Denton July 21st. Leslie
Kregel, lesliekregel@mac.com or 940.390.2873 Apple Tree Project - The Community Outreach
committee will be in the narthex each Sunday in July, so pick up and apple and
help a low income child start the school year on the right foot this Fall. Remember to return the apple along with the
clothing. Our Daily Bread - St. Andrew's volunteer schedule
for the next quarter has openings for enthusiastic folks looking for a way to
serve. Don't be shy-call Marie Trichka, 940.464.0150, and come help in the
kitchen either Mondays or Fridays from 10:00am to 1:30pm during July, August, and
September. RECYCLE your newspapers, junk mail, catalogs, etc., in
the green and yellow bin in our parking lot & help support the Youth ministry at St. Andrew.
