LENT BEGINS ON ASH WEDNESDAY
Service @ 7:30pm, February 17
Worship with us @ 7:30pm on Ash Wednesday, when we’ll receive the imposition of ashes, a mark of mourning and penitence, and a sign of our mortality. The service closes with the celebration of Holy Communion.

Lenten Spiritual Disciplines

February 24-March 31, 6:30pm, Chancel
Join us on Wednesday evenings during Lent for quiet contemplation of scripture and the exploration of spiritual disciplines. Diane Smith will be our guide each week.

The women of St. Andrew are invited to gather in Room 206 at noon as we study Barbara Brown Taylor’s book An Altar in the World. We will meet for six Wednesdays at noon; bring your lunch and/or a friend if you’d like. Join us!

From Community Outreach…
- Assisting homeless families leave a shelter and start living more independently involves helping them set up housekeeping. Community Outreach asks for help with the following to assist HOPE, Inc. and its clients to put their new houses together.

Collection runs until March 7. Donations go in the box beside the Coke machine outside Fellowship Hall. Thank you for your support and generosity!

Music Notes
Lynn Eustis’ recital with Dan Tepfer, scheduled for February 13th, has been postponed ‘til this fall. She will be singing in the “Mainly Mozart” program at Carnegie Hall (NYC) on March 19 (solos in both the Dominican Vespers and the Solemn Vespers).

West Meets East is a spirited homage to Asian heritage, as well as music lovers in general.

New Class of Stephen Ministers began training in January. Trish Highland and Jim Hancock were joined by Diane Smith, who was part of the original Stephen Ministry group. She’s elected to re-take the training before serving again as a Stephen Minister; we’re delighted to welcome Diane back to active ministry.

Service for Wholeness, March 23, 6:00pm
This informal service consists of a short meditation, prayer, and a time of waiting in faith upon God, intended for all who’re interested in setting aside an hour for quiet contemplation and reflection. The service concludes with the celebration of Holy Communion. Child care is provided.
