Stephen W. Plunkett
Pastor

Steve Plunkett became the pastor of St. Andrew on August 1, 1989. Prior to that time, he served First Presbyterian Church, Rusk, Texas (1980-86), and First Presbyterian Church, Paducah, Kentucky (1986-89). He received the B.A. degree from Austin College, the M.A. degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, and the M. Div. Degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

In addition to his work at the church, Steve is interested in theatre. He chairs the Production Board of Denton Community Theatre where he is seen, from time to time, playing a role or directing a play. Steve and his wife, Margaret, have two children.



Brandon D. Lewis
Associate Pastor

Brandon Lewis became the Associate Pastor for Youth, College and Young Adult Ministries on January 4, 2007. Prior to joining the staff, he served in non-ordained roles in youth ministry at churches in Seattle , WA and Upper Montclair , NJ . In addition, he served in a chaplaincy role at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital . He received the B.A. degree in Christian Theology from Seattle Pacific University , a certificate of completion from Torchbearers Bible Schools in Europe , and the M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.

In addition to his work with middle school/senior high youth and college students, Brandon has served in a variety of local and cross-cultural mission/outreach opportunities. He loves travel, the outdoors and sports. Brandon and his wife, Hillary, have two dogs.

Lisa Patterson
Director of Christian Education

Lisa Patterson became the Director of Christian Education on July 3, 2000. While new to this position, she has been a member of St. Andrew since 1984. Prior to joining the staff, Lisa remained at home with her children for eleven years and was very active in volunteer projects. Before that, she worked in the field of marketing. She received the B.A. degree from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. A member at St. Andrew for many years, she was ordained as an elder in the church and served on a variety of committees and in many different capacities.

Lisa is charged with being a Christian educator for a broad age group, serving both children and adults. She has three school-age children and can usually be found at either a school or church activity.

Morris Martin
Minister of Music

Morris Martin has served as the part-time Minister of Music at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church since 1972. He directs the Chancel Choir and supervises a program of two children's choirs, a youth choir, a quartet of soloists, and a handbell choir. Many of the soloists and others who have worked at St. Andrew have gone on to become established conductors, organists, church musicians, teachers, and administrators around the nation.

In addition, he has worked as Head of the Music Library and Ozier Sound Archives at the University of North Texas, one of the largest and most complete music libraries in the nation, since 1971. His music degrees are from North Texas, and he has a degree in library science from the University of Illinois.
