Steve Plunkett became the pastor of St. Andrew on August 1, 1989. Prior to that time, he served First Presbyterian Church, Rusk, Texas (1980-86), and First Presbyterian Church, Paducah, Kentucky (1986-89). He received the B.A. degree from Austin College, the M.A. degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, and the M. Div. Degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
In addition to his work at the church, Steve is interested in theatre, and has served on the board of Denton Community Theatre, where he has acted in and directed plays. He currently serves on the board of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton. Steve and his wife, Margaret, have two children.
Steve is the author of This We Believe: Eight Truths Presbyterians Affirm, copies of which can be found on The Thoughtful Christian’s website. He is currently working on a Bible 101 course on the story of the Bible, as well as a book on faith and politics.

Brandon D. Lewis Associate Pastor |
Brandon Lewis became the Associate Pastor for Youth, College and Young Adult Ministries on January 4, 2007. Prior to joining the staff, he served in non-ordained roles in youth ministry at churches in Seattle, WA and Upper Montclair, NJ. In addition, he served in a chaplaincy role at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. He received the B.A. degree in Christian Theology from Seattle Pacific University, a certificate of completion from Torchbearers Bible Schools in Europe, and the M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.
In addition to his work with middle school/senior high youth and college students, Brandon has served in a variety of local and cross-cultural mission/outreach opportunities. He loves travel, the outdoors and sports. Brandon and his wife, Hillary, have two dogs. They are the proud parents of a son, Caden Ross, born in April of 2010.

 Lisa Patterson Associate Pastor

Lisa Patterson became the Director of Christian Education at St. Andrew on July 3, 2000. She has been a member of this congregation since 1984 and was ordained as an elder in the church in 2000. Prior to joining the staff, Lisa was home with her children for eleven years and was very active in volunteer projects. Before that, she worked in the field of business management and marketing. She received the B.A. degree from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. She was certified in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as a Certified Christian Educator in 2005 and earned the M. Div. Degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in 2010.
Lisa is charged with being a Christian educator for a broad age group, serving both children and adults. She has three children; Will and Walker are in college and Ann attends Denton High School.

 Morris Martin Minister of Music |
Morris Martin has served as the part-time Minister of Music at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church since 1972. He directs the Chancel Choir and supervises a program of two children's choirs, a youth choir, a quartet of soloists, and a handbell choir. Many of the soloists and others who have worked at St. Andrew have gone on to become established conductors, organists, church musicians, teachers, and administrators around the nation.
In addition, he has worked as Head of the Music Library and Ozier Sound Archives at the University of North Texas, one of the largest and most complete music libraries in the nation, since 1971. His music degrees are from North Texas, and he has a degree in library science from the University of Illinois.
