We have two major classes of officers at St. Andrew—deacons and elders. Our governing body is the session, which is made up of elders, while the diaconate is the body that provides congregational nurture and pastoral care.

The Diaconate is made up of 21 deacons elected by the congregation—three rotating classes of seven. The office of deacon is one of sympathy and pastoral care.
